About the poem, I would come up with writing poetry. So feather pen appeared in my mind as a tool for writing letters and poems in that slow-paced era.
In those very slow days, when carriages and horses were very slow, people wrote poems with quill pens to the person they loved and could only love one person in their lifetime that was very romantic.
I chose to use a quill as the image I wanted to convey.
Interesting quotes used to prove the usefulness of the quill
A quill is a writing tool made from a moulted flight feather (preferably a primary wing-feather) of a large bird. Quills were used for writing with ink before the invention of the dip pen, the metal-nibbed pen, the fountain pen, and, eventually, the ballpoint pen.
Ink bottle and quill
As with earlier reed pens (and later dip pens), a quill has no internal ink reservoir and therefore needs to periodically be dipped into an inkwell during writing. The hand-cut goose quill is rarely used as a calligraphy tool anymore because many papers are now derived from wood pulp and would quickly wear a quill down.[citation needed] However, it is still the tool of choice for a few scribes who have noted that quills provide an unmatched sharp stroke as well as greater flexibility than a steel pen.
As a symbol of writing poetry and articles, feather pen is the starting point of my creation.
Then I started an iterative attempt to try and make some connection between my logo and the name of the app.
I actually like this version, but it's a bit less holistic. The "P" becomes obscure and even a bit messy.
In this version, the arc is too "cold". I don't think this version is empathetic enough for the user. The cold, rigid logo will make my users less likely to click on the app.
I like how comfortable this black feels, but it looks a little too contrasty with the colour orange. And the large black area doesn't fit particularly well with our brand colour.
This version is much better, the fresh green colour suits our brand. But I would prefer the main object in the middle to stand out more.
Continue to change the colours and take care to adjust the details.
I find it kind of wants boxing gloves, or a donkey. Who can resist the empathy that comes with such a powerful and fun logo?
Completed the logo making.
